BU seeks new Board Member

30 September 2008

BU sign Bournemouth University is seeking a new member to join its university Board.

Bournemouth University is currently looking for a new Board member to help support and develop our corporate mission.

The Bournemouth University Board oversees the strategic development of the University and ensures the effective use of resources and the general solvency of the institution.

We are currently looking for someone who has an interest in the welfare of students and staff as well as the provision of quality higher education.

In order to maintain an appropriate balance of skills on the University Board, candidates with expertise in accountancy, the legal profession, governance or ethics would be particularly welcomed.

The Board is keen to ensure that its membership reflects, so far as is possible, the proficiency as well as the age, gender and ethnic origin of the wider University constituency. The University and the Board are committed to promoting equality and diversity and would particularly welcome the nomination of members of currently under represented groups: women, ethnic minorities and people with disabilities.

Further details can be obtained from the University Secretary & Registrar, who can be contacted by email at nrichard@bournemouth.ac.uk.

The closing date is 3 October 2008.
