BU flies high at Air Festival

27 August 2008

Red Arrows BU is proud to be supporting Bournemouth’s first ever Air Festival which comes to town this week.

BU is delighted to be one of the official supporters of the inaugural MORE Bus Bournemouth Air Festival, which takes place from today until Sunday 31 August 2008.

Colleagues from our Marketing and PR teams will be manning the BU stand across the four days to join in the fun and raise our profile to visitors and the local community, and there will be a Park and Ride scheme operating from Talbot Campus.

The free festival, held along the promenade between the two piers, has been planned and organised by Bournemouth Tourism.

Mark Smith, Service Director, Tourism & Corporate Communications said: “The festival is going to be an extraordinary event, the biggest Bournemouth has seen. The evening entertainment will definitely give the town a festival atmosphere.”

Thousands of people are expected to descend upon Bournemouth seafront to see some of the amazing military aircraft and displays including the Red Arrows (displaying Friday, Saturday and Sunday), RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team and The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. There will also be a rare appearance of the Cold War bomber, the Avro Vulcan on Saturday afternoon.

The festival includes a firework display, family fun attractions, music and live entertainment.

We look forward to seeing you there!
