Advances in Tourism Marketing Conference 2009

Bournemouth beach The Advances in Tourism Marketing Conference represents an important contribution for the tourism marketing research arena and tourism industry.

Marketing & Tourism professionals from across the globe will be heading to BU for the third Advances in Tourism Marketing Conference (ATMC), which takes place from 6-9 September 2009.

Hosted by BU’s International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research (ICTHR), the conference aims to reflect upon and discuss the topical issues surrounding international tourism marketing.

Launched in 2005, the ATMC represents an attempt to explore, analyse and evaluate the state of the art in tourism marketing from an international perspective.

The event brings together researchers, policy makers and practitioners, providing a forum for the discussion and dissemination of themes related to the tourism system under a marketing approach.

The ICTHR, based within BU’s School of Services Management, is committed to real world research that is of benefit to policy makers, planners and practitioners whilst also developing the knowledge base of the subject.

Many of the Centre’s research projects are commissioned by national governments or international agencies and incorporate the pragmatism of the business world with the rigour of academia.

The centre is pleased to be hosting this international conference, which has previously been held in Akyaka Turkey and València, Spain.
