Dr Ross Hill sits in on a review panel for NASA

Dr Ross Hill, Reader in Geoinformatics in the Centre for Conservation Ecology & Environmental Change, recently spent the week of September 22nd to the 26th in Washington DC sitting on a review panel for NASA, assessing grant applications under a topic theme of biodiversity - i.e. applications of satellite data to assess biodiversity.

Dr Hill was one of 17 scientists assembled from around the world to peer-review the submitted applications. So effectively he was advising NASA how to spend its research money under their 'Earth Science Research Program'
