The 2009 Annual Boss Stone carving competition took place from Wednesday 20-Friday 22 May.  The students were given three days to carve a piece of stone from scratch into a given topic.  This year the theme was 'Grotesques'.  Once again the students from across all our University Stonemasonry courses produced some very imaginative and excellent work.

The judges this year were Dick Reid, Worshipful Company of Masons, Malcolm Russell, Hansons, Scott Lewis, Local Stonemason and former student and Pam Mackenzie, Bournemouth University.
